Soundshells
Water as inspiration, an unlikely place to begin for ceramic work but my life has always been around bodies of water. They can calm me down, energize me, help me think and hold my interest for hours.
As my ceramic practice evolved I discovered that the three dimensional nature of the work allowed me to translate a lifetime of drawings and images of water that I had created into the feeling I had been attempting to record and I’ve been making ceramic works inspired by water ever since.
