Scenes from America is a body of work that has occurred as I’ve been observing America after returning from living abroad for many years. Returning to one’s original land after so long away changes your relationship to that place and what you observe. America while portrayed through global media as a shiny toy to the world is frayed around it’s edges, and can feel quite lonely and abandoned in various places. It’s this feeling of decay and loss in America that seeps into the collective consciousness of everyday people living their lives across the country.
The images in series have been taken all over the country since 2016 and the series is on-going.
